We recently earned our FSC® Certification (FSC-C125400), increasing our commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. ​FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council®, a non-profit organization with over 25 years of experience in sustainable forest management. This member led group works to protect forests worldwide for future generations, with a mission to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. They want to ensure that a forest can maintain wood supply while preserving its biodiversity, productivity, and ecological processes and sustaining its local people and society at large. In order to do so, they create guidelines, standards, and processes to better forest management, and provide certifications to companies that use materials from responsibly managed forests. 

​Packaging eligible for FSC certification must use materials from responsibly managed forests. Because the FSC wants to acknowledge all participating manufacturers, they provide three different labels that might be used for your packaging. The three labels are:
